Exactly one year ago, on 24 April 2007, the first commercial hotspot powered by the RedButton hotspot solution commenced operations. Since then relentless effort has seen this figure increase to 288 operational hotspots. As of the date that this article was written, end-users have cumulatively spent over 32 years, or roughly 17 million minutes, surfing the Internet on this fast growing network. We would like to extend a heartfelt thank-you to all our end-users as we celebrate every one of those minutes.

Prior to the the commercial launch of the RedButton hotspot solution we invested a significant amount of time on the design of the solution. This was time well spent as we have been able to continuously introduce new features and innovations that have allowed us to deliver on the needs of our various clients, stakeholders, resellers and partners.

While the flexible nature of the RedButton hotspot solution was essential in satisfying previously unmet market needs, an equally important consideration was the value provided to our end-users and also the cost-to-reliability ratio offered by our solution.

When it comes to providing value to end-users, upon the launch of the RedButton hotspot solution we dropped our end user rates by 20% across the board and have since then been able to introduce various specials and promotions to provide further value. The cost-to-reliability ratio of our wireless platform was also signigicantly enhanced when we launched our cutting edge hotspot firmware that in particular solved stability issues found in solutions used by our competitors.
