Jalal Ghiassi-Razavi, Managing Director 

Bsc(Eng) (UCT), PGDM (UCT), MBA (UCT)

Jalal Ghiassi-RazaviJalal Ghiassi-Razavi joined RedButton in May 2009 to help steer the organisation into the future as one of South Africa's top wireless internet hotspot service providers. He joins RedButton after completing an MBA at the University of Cape Town's, Graduate School of Business. Additional qualifications include a BSc(Eng) in Mechatronics as well as a post graduate diploma (PGDM) in business studies, both received through UCT. He also studied at Cambridge University in the UK, as part of the Sainsbury Management Trust Scholarship, where he conducted research into the merger and acquisition strategies of UK mobile telecommunications firms. Jalal began his working career at Cell-Life, and helped the organisation grow from a research based project into a fully fledged and highly successful not-for-profit organisation. He spent four years at the organisation and was primary responsible for sales and marketing. During his time at Cell-Life, he helped the organisation win two concurrent Technology Top 100 awards, showcasing the organisations highly successful technology innovation capabilities. He is excited at the challenge of working at RedButton and hopes to add significant value to the organisation and its future.

Kilian Hagemann, Non Executive Director

Kilian HagemannKilian Hagemann holds a PhD in atmospheric science, a bachelors degree in physics and computer science with distinction, and an honours degree. Kilian's indepth networking knowledge, extensive systems administrations skills and meticulous approach to development has ensured that RedButton's systems continue to run with both high uptime and performance. His commitment to open source tools, platforms and frameworks is evident not only in RedButton's software but also in our internal operations.

Nico de Wet, Operations Manager

Nico de WetNico completed his academic career in 2004 with a masters degree in computer science, awarded with distinction, at UCT. Highlights of this career include numerous distinctions, publications in the field of networking [1][2] and an internship at France's prestigious Institut National des Télécommunication. In industry Nico has worked for Mosaic Software, The Shuttleworth Foundation and as Technical Development Manager at the multi-TT100 award winning organization Cell-Life. With a passion for entrepreneurial activity and networking Nico co-founded RedButton Mobile CC in June 2006. His vision is to see RedButton grow into a large, recognized & respected operator. Barry Steyn, Software Development Manager

Barry SteynBarry obtained his masters degree in computer science in 2003, with several distinctions and publications in the field of computer graphics [1][2]. He then went to work for one of South Africa's top asset management companies, Allan Gray. After a successful two and a half years at Allan Gray, he decided to pursue the challenging vocation of entrepreneurism. Barry's experience in developing financial software continues to be a valuable asset to RedButton. He has been fascinated by technology and industry for many years, first operating a computer hardware firm from his teens right up to his university studies.

Shafiqa Toefy - Marketing & Sales Manager

Sahfiqa ToefyShafiqa Toefy has joined our team as sales manager with her background in the cellular industry. She was Regional Manager for RF Group (Nokia cellphone marketing in S.A) for Western Cape Region and was also part of the Vodacom Group as Branch manager for the 1st Vodashop/vodacare store in the Cape and prior to that she was with Nashua Cape Town. With her vast experience in corporate sales and client services coupled with her great peoples skills and her passion for the service industry she aims to grow our client base from strength to strength.

Neal Tosefsky - Project Manager

Neal TosefskyNeal joined RedButton in early 2007 and has since consistently applied measures to ensure the high standards we and our clients expect in our hotspot installation projects. These projects have ranged from small coffee shops to installations of high complexity at larger hotels. He is currently completing his B.Sc. in Physics through correspondence. Outside of work, Neal plays cricket and rugby for various social sides; and he has a keen interest in entomology. 

Rhynhardt van Aarde, Network Engineer

BComm Information Systems 

Rhynhardt van AardeRyan joined RedButton as a network engineer in the second quarter of 2008 with an academic background that includes a Bachelor of Commerce in Information Systems, and several Microsoft certifications. His primary responsibilities include hotspot installations and end-user support in which his own unique perspective and problem solving abilities have come into play.

Divyesh Patel, Marketing & Operations

BComm Management

Divyesh Patel Divyesh joined RedButton in the fourth quarter of 2008 with an academic background that includes a Bachelor of Commerce in Management. He is currently furthering his studies with a part time post graduate degree. His primary responsibilities include managing sales inquiries, assessing the requirements of our clients, initiating projects in accourdance with our internal processes and other operational tasks.

Hanro van Tonder

ND information technology

Hanro van TonderHanro joined RedButton at the beginning of the second semester of 2009 as an intern after completing his National Diploma in Information Technology. He intends to complete his B.Tech part time by end 2011 in order to make his knowledge of Information Technology as versatile and competitive as possible. His interests are not only limited to networking and various hardware implementations, but also programming and software services.
